I am a "Band Mom"
Last night I worked the concession stand for the basketball game for the band boosters. I really don't mind but somehow I volunteered for last night, tomorrow night and the chicken noodle dinner this weekend. I am not sure how I managed to do that! But oh well it's for the band. And I am a "band mom" now. Chase has been in marching band at Northview for 2 years now. I can't believe how much I love this band thing!! Chase is the first one of my crew in band so I have been loving it. Saturday morning early we go to Indy for Chase to perform in the State Solo/Ensemble competition. He'll be playing his baratone and I've heard his solo, it's a great piece and he plays it well. I'll let you know how it goes but we are expecting a GOLD~

Welcome to the almost all-consuming world of NHS Marching Band. I'm sure my mom can relate!
which makes Chase a "band geek", right?
;)
Band Geek - Computer Geek - Drama Geek - Tech Geek. We all got along very well. I'm sure Chase can find peace within himself.
Oh, I'll be the first to admit that I have no room to talk. Especially after spending a couple of days chasing down a suitcase-sized satellite attached to the international space station trying to send a little test email through it over a radio. Nothing says geek like that. :)
Welcome to the "Band Parent" life!!You have 2 more years to absolutely LOVE it! And Corey,
you were all geeks, but you are "our" geeks and that makes you special! Well,...loved anyway. BTW... What's the difference between a geek and a nerd? Does a geek have a life or something?
I was never the band PARENT, but I have been the band GEEK! It's awesome that you're doing that for your son! I was in South's Marching Band and I always wished my Mom could have been more involved! I hope to do that with my kids in High School...if they choose to go to public school. :)
I was right Chase got a Gold and excellent comments from the judge.
