Time Out

Last Friday I traveled to the convention center in Nashville TN with these wonderful women above, Ruby, Me, Sherry, Linda, and Doty to watch Time Out for Women. They now have a Friday night session which consisted of songs from singer/songwriters Hilary Weeks and Kenneth Cope and then a speaker Chieko N. Okazaki who was just great!!! She wrote "What a Friend we have in Jesus" which I had read. Then Saturday from 8-4 we had speakers and more music from Hilary Weeks who is just the sweetest!! One of the speakers was Chris Stewart who wrote the Great and Terrible series. We are big fans of that and he was so nice. We also had Jason Wright who wrote "Wednesdays letters" that I had read and loved. I just finished his last book "Recovering Charles" which was good but doesn't top "Wednesdays Letters". Also there was Carolyn Rasmus and Emily Watts both with excellent talks and both with books I had read. It was a great uplifting couple of days. I love Time Out!!! And if you're wondering, yes, I cut off my hair a couple of weeks ago. I really like it so far.

I'm glad you've enjoyed Jason F. Wright's books and got to hear him speak at your Time Out. I work with Jason and thought you’d like knowing he has a new contest on his web site where you can win a free trip-for-two to his hometown in VA, the Shenandoah Valley. All you have to do is mail him a Christmas card! All the details are here:
